Kindilan (QLD)

Located just 45 minutes from Brisbane and an hour from the Gold Coast, PGL Kindilan occupies a beautiful, 220 acre bushland site in Redland Bay, zoned a Conservation Area in South East Queensland.

Girl Guide Camps FAQ

What are Girl Guide camps?

Girl Guide camps offer a brilliant opportunity for girls to get together and enjoy the outdoors in a fun and safe environment. Leaders can choose to undertake a wide range of fun outdoor activities designed to challenge and inspire. From climbing and archery to canoeing and orienteering, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. It’s a chance for girls to grow in confidence, connect with nature, build social skills, and most importantly, have fun in a safe, supportive environment led by trained leaders.

What’s included in the cost of a Girl Guide camp?

It’s up to you! Choose your style of accommodation, catering or self-catering and activity provision, and create the ideal camp for your group.  Whatever specific requirements, we can tailor your group package to suit your needs. How do I book a Girl Guide camp?

The process for booking your Girl Guide camp is simple. You can submit a booking request  (link to a via our website, contact us via email at info@pgladventurecamps.com.au or call us on 1300 859 895 for any queries or to book Girl Guide groups. Our sales staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and will be able to help you out with any questions that you may have.

To secure your reservation, kindly confirm bookings at least 8 weeks before arrival. Regrettably, enquiries made within this timeframe cannot be accommodated, but we will gladly offer alternate dates.

A 10% deposit is essential for confirming all large bookings. A deposit of $100 is required to confirm smaller bookings within 14 days of receiving the Booking Contract, and outside of 14 days prior to the intended arrival date.

Please note: We will only accept bookings from Guide Group Leaders or Girl Guide Queensland. We cannot accept individual Guide bookings. Guides will only be permitted onsite at PGL Kindilan for a confirmed booking, or pre-arranged site tour via PGL Adventure Camps.

Do you have minimum numbers for Girl Guide camps?

There is no minimum group size for Guides attending PGL Kindilan, except for those participating in a Girl Guide Getaway program, where a minimum of 30 Guides is required. Please contact our Sales team on 1300 895 859 for more information.

Will we have sole occupancy of the camp for our group?

For advertised dedicated ‘Girl Guide Exclusive’ weekends and events, Girl Guides will have exclusive access to PGL Kindilan and will not be sharing the site with any other groups. For any other weekends, the site will be shared with other groups. Please speak with our Sales team on 1300 859 895 about your group’s specific requirements.

Are the Girl Guide camps accredited?

PGL has been successfully operating camps in Australia since 2014 and complies with all relevant licencing requirements for the sector.

PGL undertakes Essential Safety Measures compliance annually, which ensures that our camps are well-maintained and safe. This includes compliance with air handling systems, exit doors, emergency lighting, emergency power supply, fire detection and control instruments and sprinkler systems.

Regarding activity standards in Australia, there is no mandatory qualification for activity providers. PGL has voluntarily submitted to the Australian Adventure Activity Standard (AAAS) and has been assessed as meeting all requirements. As this is not a mandatory accreditation, we believe that this puts PGL in a favourable position to competitors who have not been independently assessed for activity safety.

Additionally, PGL is accredited by the Quality Tourism Framework (QTF) through the Australian Tourism Industry Council, signifying that we deliver a quality tourism experience. PGL is also accredited as a Camp and Adventure business under the same framework.

PGL is a member of the Australian Camps Association, a national peak body for camps and associated providers.

Are Girl Guide camps covered by public liability insurance, and what is the limit of liability?

PGL holds and will provide certificates of currency of insurance each year, including public liability insurance to $30,000,000 cover.

What's the accommodation like?

Accommodation at our Girl Guides Queensland camp location includes a variety of options, such as roundhouses and lodges, and two platform tent villages! All guests are housed in comfortable, multi-share rooms, either with ensuite facilities or with toilet and shower facilities nearby. 

A fitted bed sheet is provided, but group participants will need to pack a pillow, sleeping bag and towel. Bedding can be arranged for an additional fee. Please see the individual camp pages below for specific details.
