Our camps

Campaspe Downs (VIC)

An hour’s drive from Melbourne, PGL Campaspe Downs is set amid 180 acres of stunning natural bushland in the Macedon Ranges, close to Kyneton and Hanging Rock.

Camp Rumbug (VIC)

The beautiful Camp Rumbug is located in the majestic hills of South Gippsland, two hours from Melbourne’s CBD and set in 200 acres of glorious temperate rainforest overlooking Wilsons Promontory National Park.

Kindilan (QLD)

Located just 45 minutes from Brisbane and an hour from the Gold Coast, PGL Kindilan occupies a beautiful, 220 acre bushland site in Redland Bay, zoned a Conservation Area in South East Queensland.

What’s included in the cost for my group?

We can tailor a group package to suit your particular family reunion or large group getaway. We are able to provide all accommodation, activities, equipment and food, as well as a PGL Group Leader to support your group.  It all depends on what you need, so give our friendly staff a call on 1300 859 895 or email us on info@pgladventurecamps.com.au to discuss your specific requirements.

How do I book a family reunion or group getaway?

The process for booking is simple. You can submit an enquiry via our website, contact us via email at info@pgladventurecamps.com.au or call us on 1300 859 895 for any queries or to book your group. Our sales staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and will be able to help you out with any questions that you may have.

To secure your reservation, kindly confirm bookings at least 8 weeks before arrival. Regrettably, enquiries made within this timeframe cannot be accommodated, but we will gladly offer alternate dates. A 10% deposit is essential for confirming all bookings.

Do you cater for dietary requirements for groups?

Yes, we do. If your  group have certain dietary requirements (e.g. Halal, Kosher, etc.) then let us know by getting in touch. We’ll discuss with you the alternatives that we are able to provide for your group during their stay.

If there are other dietary requirements such as for coeliacs, diabetics, those with food allergies and vegetarians/vegans, then we can also cater for those too. Just let us know!

Do you have minimum numbers for family reunions and large group getaways?

Yes, we do. We require a minimum of 40 people and a minimum duration of 2 nights. Please contact our Sales team on 1300 895 859 for more information.

Will we have sole occupancy of the camp for our group?

As our facilities accommodate a large number of people, we cannot guarantee that all groups, particularly smaller groups, will have sole occupancy of the camp. Sole occupancy can often be arranged for an additional fee. Please speak with our Sales team on 1300 859 895 about your group’s specific requirements.

What is the pre-arrival process and timeline?

PGL have many years of experience in running camps and we have this down to a fine art. We work together with teachers/group leaders to ensure that you (and we) have all of the information that we need to provide an outstanding group camp experience. We rely on teachers/group leaders to provide the information requested in a timely manner. Here is a guideline to our timeframes:

  • 6 weeks before arrival: The Party Leader will receive an Important Group Camp Information Email which outlines the deadlines of when specific information will be required
  • 4 weeks before arrival: The Party Leader will need to advise us of final numbers of attendees as well as gender splits to assign rooming. Party leaders will also discuss activity preferences at this time.
  • 2 weeks before arrival: We provide the Party Leader with the Activity Program and Rooming Plan. The Party Leader will need to provide us with Dietary and Medical requirements for all attendees (staff and students)
  • 1 week before arrival: The Party Leader will receive an email from us confirming all details and advising them to contact us if they have any questions or would like to secure their booking dates for the following year.

What are the expected standards of behaviour in a group camp?

PGL staff will lead groups and instruct participants on activity sessions, teachers/group leaders continue to have responsibility for people’s behaviour and welfare. Please read our Code of Conduct

Are group camps covered by public liability insurance, and what is the limit of liability?

PGL holds and will provide certificates of currency of insurances each year, including public liability insurance to $30,000,000 cover.

What's the accommodation like?

Accommodation at each of our group camp locations is slightly different, but all guests are housed in comfortable, multi-share rooms, either with ensuite facilities or with toilet and shower facilities nearby. 

A fitted bed sheet is provided, but group participants will need to pack a pillow, sleeping bag and towel. Bedding can be arranged for an additional fee. Please see the individual camp pages for specific details.
