Australia has the highest rate of deforestation in the developed world and has driven more mammals to extinction than any other country, says the Australian Conservation Foundation. It’s time to do something about it.

PGL Adventure Camps is a signatory to the Australian Conservation Foundation’s petition to develop new laws which will shape how nature in Australian is protected for years to come.  With landholdings of over 500 hectares within Australia, most of which is native bushland, PGL Adventure Camps feels passionately about preserving our native flora and fauna for future generations.

Find out how we’re greening our spaces at PGL Adventure Camps in this blog post.

What needs to be done?

The Albanese Government has a goal of ‘no new extinctions’ which we completely endorse. However we believe this goal must be backed up by strong new nature laws, as well as an independent regulator to enforce them. Without a strong regulatory framework and independent oversight, it’s no more than a ‘hope’ and, as a country, we need to do better to protect our vulnerable flora and fauna.
